ABOUT ASHIKA
ASHIKA is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) serving three hill districts of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT)-Rangamati, Khragrachari & Bandarban, based in Rangamati Hill District-which is treated as the capital of CHT. ASHIKA stands for Amader Shikkha O Karjokrom which refers to all types of formal, non-formal, technical and vocational education. We aim at the reflection of all these learning’s into communities’ livelihoods. We assist ultra poor people by providing technical support with the objective of creating new opportunities. It is understood that globalization along with climate change have an impact worldwide, CHT is also not apart from this true, so we believe in economical and environmental friendly system within which the community would survive with improved living standards. We strongly believe that access to information will empower people strengthening their livelihoods for that the organization is always with right base services to poor mass community.
Organizational Governance
ASHIKA has 3-Tires of Management according to the Constitution of the Organization:
General Council
The General Council is the supreme authority of the organization, responsible for the election of Executive Council, amendment of Constitution and approval of fundamental plan and budget.
Executive Council
The Executive Council consisting of 7 Members is the authority of managing everyday activities, responsible for the implementation of approved plan, designed projects, income & expenditure of the organization.

MISSION
To achieve a socio-economic emancipation by creating a stakeholder based economy involving women & disable part of community, mobilizing civil society with proper utilization of local resources and institutions.

Senior Management Team
The Senior Management Team (SMT) provides day to day leadership for the organization such as determining strategic, programmatic and operational issues and delivery against action plan and budget of ASHIKA’s projects/programmes as implementing authority of EC. SMT is accountable to EC for outcomes and exercise of authority.
