The program was attended by the Honourable Chairman of RHDC, Mr. Kajal Talukder, as the Chief Guest, and The SP - Tourist Police, Mr. Nahid Adnan Taian, and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Ms. Refat Asma, Rangamati Sadar, as special guests. Mr. Habib Azam, the member and convener of Tourism at RHDC, served as the program's president. ”Register Births and Deaths, Ensure Civil Rights.”

National Birth and Death Registration Day 2023 is celebrated today on 6th October, 2023 in Rangamati district. This year’s theme is ”Register Births and Deaths, Ensure Civil Rights.”. On this occasion, a colorful rally and discussion meeting was organized in the city on Friday morning organized by the Rangamati district administration. About two hundred people from public and private institutions participated in the rally. 51 employees of Ashika Development Associates participated in it

At the end of the rally, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner at 10 a.m. Mr. Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, of Rangamati district, was present as the chief guest. It was presided over by the Deputy Director of Local Government Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud.

In the president’s speech, he said that birth registration and death registration are fundamental rights of citizens. Currently, birth registration is required to get government benefits. Birth registration can be done free of charge within 45 days of a child’s birth.
