The CHT Leprosy Mission & ASHIKA Development Associates has Jointly organized a day-long training on leprosy at Ashika Development Associates Hall to raise awareness and educate people about this disease on April 30, 2023. The training was attended by ASHIKA Staffs and volunteers who work with different development sector in Rangamati Hill district.
The training focused on the causes, symptoms, and treatment of leprosy. It also covered the stigma associated with the disease and how to combat it. Participants were taught how to identify early signs of leprosy and refer patients for diagnosis and treatment.
The Leprosy Mission emphasized the importance of early detection and treatment in preventing disabilities caused by leprosy. They also highlighted their efforts in providing medical care, rehabilitation services, and vocational training to people affected by leprosy.
Overall, the day-long training was a success in raising awareness about leprosy among ASHIKA Staffs and volunteers. It is hoped that this will lead to better care for patients with this disease and help reduce the stigma associated with it.
