The World Biodiversity Day is celebrated every year on May 22nd to raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and its conservation. On May 22nd In 2023, Ashika Development Associates observed this day at Mogban Union in Rangamati, Bangladesh. The event aimed to educate people about the need to protect biodiversity and promote sustainable development practices.the progrm was presided over by Mr. Bidhan Chakma, Project Coordinator- CHTWCA project funded by UNDP while Mr. Pospo Ranjan Chakma, UP Chairman of Magban Union.
The celebration included various activities such as tree plantation, bird watching, and nature walks. Local community members participated in the event and learned about the significance of preserving natural resources for future generations.
